Hello everyone, I’m currently updating my blog to add a more inspiring and welcoming appearance to it. That’s why it looks kind of a miss match right now.. but give me a couple of days :)
Currently I’m reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, not a minute too late. I guess everyone read it five years ago, or when it was released. I often choose books by their covers. I don’t know if that’s good or bad. I also like to read fast.. My goal is now to finish this book, that’s not difficult because I have any difficulties reading, but because it was quite long ago since I read a novel etc. four years (I think) at the university has meant reading a lot. At least 300 pages/week I guess. Now I just have to convince myself I enjoy reading just because it’s fun, which I know I do.
It’s winter, it’s cold outside, but the sun is shining in. I love reading in that kind of wintery sunlight that escapes through windows and makes time stand still. Lovely!
Learning to appreciate the dark

I think I have to learn to appreciate the dark here, it’s so dark. I tried to take a walk yesterday, but I had to walk back to get a flash light. Should I tell you why? Haha! Because I accidentally almost walked right into the ditch (the ditch that is more like a smaller lake or a moss). Then I found myself walking in the middle of the woods, on a small road.. And I thought of that Robert Frost poem about the wheel that pours the sand.. And that I probably should be afraid of animals, moose, rabbits, foxes or I don’t know why haha! Or at least a creepy man.. That made it sound like creepy men are animals, but that was not my intention.. So I walked back.

It’s so cold, but the spring is soon here. I took a walk along the beach today. My plan was to walk out on the pier, but I had to turn back halfway out there because I thought I was going to slip and fall down in the freezing cold water. It was so much ice on the ground. Oh look, there was some kind of dirt at the camera lens, how annoying!
This is funny: When I wrote Sweden in the title, WP suggested the tag Wiki Leaks, and sexual assault. Ha ha! I blame it on Assange.

I took a walk along the beach today, on the side of the beach that I’ve never been to before. It was so much ice, even though it’s not very cold outside. I wonder who built all the small houses, and I can’t really understand what they are for, because there are sooo many. I guess they are for people who go to the beach in the summer, but nowhere else in Sweden can you find these kind of small beach houses. I know there are many of them in Rügen, Germany :) I have to look it up on Wikipedia..

Tuesday I took a walk along the coast, I was amazed by the ice floes. I don’t think I have ever seen that before. Yesterday I went to Malö to pick up a book I had bought and it was so misty. I thought it was pretty cool that you couldn’t see the top of Turning Torso (the building in the picture above)

It has been foggy, cold, rainy and snowy for a while, but finally the sun is starting to show itself again..
I’ve been selling used text books online, and today when I went to the post office the lady there gave me a stamp for free :) I think that was very kind of her, but I still don’t get what I did that made her give me it for free.. lol!

I know it’s Christmas haha! But we made “Thai food”. It was fun because that is something we usually not do. It doesn’t look very good but it’s soup with chicken, it should look like this. There was lemon grass, onion, rice noodles and sabal oelek and something more in it..
A couple of hours ago I put the ham in the oven. I guess it’ll be done in the middle of the night haha! My parents are at my grandma’s house because it’s so cold that the water had frozen in her house. Not very funny! I hope it’s possible to fix.
And if anyone of you want to know it’s possible to bake “lussekatter” – buns in the microwave.. haha! I was surprised, but it works, and it tastes just like it usually does.. there are not baked yet. I’m still looking for that kind of small “table oven” but haven’t found one yet.

WHY?? Aren’t they prepared?? Tuesday I took the train home to my parents, or maybe I should say.. I thought.. oh the trains and buses might be late so I’d better be early just in case the bus is late.. at 16:45 I walked out the door, with my 25kg bag! They hadn’t removed the snow on the side walk so I had to pull the bag in the snow! The bus was in time, it took 20 min to Hyille station. From there I took the train to Lund, because there were no train from Malmö to Gothenburg. I was there at 18:10. The train station was crowded, the trains were cancelled, the office was closed, it was 15 degrees below!! Brrr! My shoes were wet from the snow. The train would leave at 19:01, it said on the ticket. At 18:55 I get to know that the train is standing in Malmö, but there is something wrong with the rail. They tell us, it’ll come in 20 min. We wait.. some people had been waiting since 17:00, but the trains were cancelled. At 19:15 they say.. no you have to wait until 19:30.. at 19:30 they changed it to 19:45.. then the train came.. after they had changed platform. There had been no train for 3 hours or something = people had bought tickets, but no train had come = ONE train A LOT of people. People were standing. I was standing too. For 2,5 hours. It was Freeeezing cold!
Today there were no trains at all! AND no buses! People want to travel to see their family at Christmas, but no, they can’t! I say WHY?! It’s SNOWING in Sweden during the winter! It has done so since forever! This problem started 2 years ago! WHY? I feel so sorry for the people who couldn’t travel wherever they wanted to go today, and I really hope they’ll have a “merry Christmas”. My parents have promised to drive me home, because first I refuse to pay for anything like this, and second to wait outside on a platform in this weather is NOT good for your health. My throat is soo sore! Buy for me it wasn’t that difficult, I think about old people or people with children. It’s impossible for them to go anywhere if they don’t have a car. But they are closing the roads too now, so I guess we have to wait and see what happens..

Today I took a walk in Malmö before the Spanish course started, I didn’t have my camera with me, just my cell phone and that’s why the pictures aren’t that good. I like (as you can see in the second picture from the top) (or you can’t see it..) but the lights in the tree to the left are “falling”. It’s some kind of icicle like lamps, really cool. The colored lights are “christmas gifts”-lights (they look like presents).

It only gets colder, today it was 12 degrees below! it was soo cold! I spent the last days at my mom and dad’s house, and I really thought they had more snow than here, but nope.. It’s ice and snow everywhere! Haha! I lit the first candle today since I wasn’t home Sunday. I bought “Christmas lights” last year, and I wanted to “hang” them on the balcony. First I had to put on rubber boots and walk in the snow on the balcony to dig up the flower box. I hope no one saw me ;). I like that they have hung lights in the trees on the street.. :)

I took some pictures outside my mom and dad’s house. It’s so cold outside, Totte doesn’t want to go outside and my sister’s cat was sleeping in the bathroom, lol! I think it’s cool that you can see all the foot prints from the animal, a moose had walked through the garden, and mice are running on the snow.

It’s just raining and raining! I went to the library in Malmö today, and took a picture, WordPress doesn’t want to rotate it so you have to turn your head ;) That library is sooo big! Then I found this christmas ornament, cute isn’t it? Soo expensive lol! Tomorrow I’m going to have a look at an apartment. Let’s se what happens..

Just some pictures, I don’t know if I have posted them before. When I visited my parents last weekend my mom bought “kokosbollar” my god they taste soo good! I had to take a picture. Today on my way to school, I saw a golf car or whatever you call them, and I wanted to take a picture, but the man who was driving it was starring at me so i couldn’t! haha! I’ll try next time ;)
I took this picture on my way to the bus stop this morning, yesterday I bought a new tire, but unfortunately I couldn’t use the stupid bike anyway BECAUSE it was raining yesterday evening, but during the night it was really cold, so my bike was covered in ICE! and it was impossible to use it so I had to run to the bus stop! haha!
Yesterday I found this book at the library! OMG! sooo much to choose from!! haha! I so have to “save” some of these recipes.. lol!
