Today I bought a new book, picked it because I liked the cover. Don’t know if it’s a good one. My tooth still hurst, or maybe I should say my ex-tooth still hurts. I had to cut the last jelly heart (no candy for almost one week and one piece left) in pieces so I could eat it. The problem is not chewing stuff, but getting it into my mouth.. So piece by piece.. :)

Tomorrow is a new day :) hopefully a better day, bring it on :)

Today they pulled it out, it wasn’t that bad. BUT the thought that hit me was: I have had five teeth pulled out before this one, that was horrible, did my (the) dentist (I went to before) really know what he was doing? A pretty interesting thought.

Anyways, it hurts. It was surgery so they removed the skin and everything, gross!!! They’ll remove the stitches in two weeks. I also got a picture of the tooth, which I won’t show you ;) Because that’s discusting ha ha!

Thank god it’s over (at least I hope so) and thanks so much to the incredibly good dentist! Ah, what  relief!

Let’s call that tooth my “sweet tooth” – I’ll cut down on sugar from now on!

On Valentine’s day I made cupcakes, pink, of course. Three colors of pink :) Ok, the cupcakes in the pan look like something else, but I put frosting on them :) Then I added just a hint of color to 50 ml of sugar and mixed. It looks kind of nice to sprinkle it on top of the frosting. I put the cupcakes in the freezer, and that’s why the cupcake in the last picture looks very frozen..

The recipe is really simple and I made half of the batch, filled half of the paper forms with “white” batter, I then divided the rest of it in two bowls and added little red color  to one, and slightly more to the other. I shouldn’t have added so much in the first on because the difference between the colors weren’t that big.

I used plastic bags, filled it with batter (the two colors of pink) and cut of one the corners (just a little piece) then you should stick it into the middle of the white batter and squeeze ;) then take the other plastic bag, cut of the corner, put it in the centre of the pink color and squeeze. This part is actually very funny..:)

When I do frosting I take 50 g of butter (put it in a bowl), add a little confections sugar, add 1 tablespoon of milk. Use an electric mixer and mix until smooth, add as much confections sugar as needed (until it’s smooth, but not too think). Done.

100 g butter

2 egg

150 ml sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla (or lemon juice, I used lime juice)

200 ml milk

2 teaspoons baking powder

Pu the oven on 200 degrees celsius. Melt the butter, then add the milk and let it cold. With an electric mixer, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the baking powder to the flour. With a spoon fold in the flour mixture and butter to the egg mixture. Done. Fill paper forms with the batter, preferably, use a muffin pan. Put in the oven for about 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out dry.

Second, Loser

This year, I’ve eaten 3 semlor. Semla= wheat bun with whipped cream and almond paste (in this caze not marzipan). Honestly I can’t say I like semlor, but at this time of the year it’s a tradition. This is aboslutely no good for you, just fat and sugar.. anyways. The first semla I had this year was the best one. Let’s describe the loser – the whipped cream was not fluffy enough, AND they had put sugar and vanilla in it. Too much of the almond stuff, which was put in the middle, not spread out. On second place came the semla I had today, it was very good except from the bun which was a little dry and a little too big. The first one is the winner, I can’t remember where we bought them..that’s a problem.. or no, it was at the bakery just around the corner :) In the house I live in, there’s shops on first floor and apartments on second floor. One shop has been empty until the other day, a bakery is opening there in a month. I bet they’ll bake the bread in Stockholm and I don’t know how they’ll do to bring it here, but they will sell that kind of very expensive sour dough bread..

Do you know what happened today? When i was in Malmö, on my way home from a meeting I walked by Nina the singer in The Cardigans. It was so cool, I love her voice and their music :)

I was on a job interview today too, if someone’s wondering :). They let me do a test, and it was fun.

It was snowing here yesterdy, it’s freeeezing cold!

Today I made müsli, I think that’s the same thing as granola? I usually roast it (the rolled oats) in a frying pan, add some water, brown sugar and cinnamon. Roast, add dried fruit and nuts. Done!

When I was eleven or twelve some teeth popped up in my mouth, why? And I had to have them pulled out. It was a nightmare for me, and the dentist. Four teeth! Ouch!

I have an appointment on Friday. Believe me this is POSITIVE THINKING! A couple od hours ago I caught myself thinking:

-What am I afraid of? Of the pain? maybe..

-I shouldn’t be thinking about this..

-I have to think positive.. it’s just thoughts. And my thoughts makes me feel this way (Ok, I know that’s not 100% correct, but anyway..)

-What have I been afraid of.. ahh to talk in front of a lot of people.. but I love that now, I could do that 7 days a week.. strange!

-Ahh and I know what advice I would give a friend.. you have to trick your body, let it know you’re relaxed.. remember the brain doesn’t understand the word NOT. I have to breathe, hahaha!

-OMG! how can I be thinking about this, it’s silly!! Compose yourself.

-haha! if they told me now I had to pull out a tooth, I don’t think I would be too afraid. I think I can do it..hahaha!

Thank god, I know I’ll survive!

I can’t believe how some cookies can taste so good. Like this one, which not is one of the most expensive cookies. But it’s pink, and it tastes like cookies did 15 years ago, maybe that’s why I lik them..

Hello everyone, I’m currently updating my blog to add a more inspiring and welcoming appearance to it. That’s why it looks kind of a miss match right now.. but give me a couple of days :)

Currently I’m reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, not a minute too late. I guess everyone read it five years ago, or when it was released. I often choose books by their covers. I don’t know if that’s good or bad. I also like to read fast.. My goal is now to finish this book, that’s not difficult because I have any difficulties reading, but because it was quite long ago since I read a novel etc. four years (I think) at the university has meant reading a lot. At least 300 pages/week I guess. Now I just have to convince myself I enjoy reading just because it’s fun, which I know I do.

It’s winter, it’s cold outside, but the sun is shining in. I love reading in that kind of wintery sunlight that escapes through windows and makes time stand still. Lovely!
